Mathieu Gagné had been performing, directing, and teaching improvisation for nearly 20 years before he hung up his “Zip Zap Zop” in June 2007 to pursue his business career in London. Having finally moved wife Christina and twins Marc and Charles to ‘Ol Blighty and settling in as head of Boston-based eSecLending’s London office, the improv and performing bug crept back into Mat’s bones. Due to the success of the Menino For President series, Mat reconnected with The City That Sleeps producers Ian Brownell and JR Strauss to provide a “live” segment from Europe. With the benefit of the difference in time zones and the ability to film while kids sleep, Europe has become Mat’s stage and BNN viewers will get a Bostonian’s perspective on news that, quite frankly, really does not affect them or their lives in any way.
